Scythian

The band Lino had on today's show (which sounded fantastic) is found at scythianmusic.com.

They play an eastern european/acoustic/gypsy type of music. I highly recommend checking them out.

  1. Does Ryan add any creative value to the show?

Everyday he just sounds like a guy who is happy to wheeze off of Lino's gig.

    Seriously.

(Or is he purposefully playing the ditzy guy to Lino's intelligent host?)

Remember, Lino has said several times that he wanted Ryan as a producer. Most people associated with Lino say he is very difficult to work with. He expects the best. Which of course, is why we all continue to do the posting and the commenting. His hard work and expectations is a blessing to us fans, he does produce a quality show daily. However, I think Ryan does take the brunt of it. Honestly, there are usually a few times during the show that I feel Lino overanalyzes what Ryan says. There are times that no matter what he says Lino will twist, turn and mangle it at Ryan's comedic expense. Plus, Ryan is a guy sincerely trying to live his Catholic faith, I appreciate that about him. I truly think he is an assett to the show. (With a emphasis on the set not the ass). However, I am patiently waiting for the day the Christine and Emily become more than just the giggle laugh track though.

  3. I have to agree with you Doug. I would say that ryan should have seen it coming,I mean, look how lino treated Maureen. Lucky Ron is not on the air I have a feeling that lino would be worse on Ron than Ryan. Um he should do a segment with Ron as a guest... Brouhaha...

You have to remember that Ryan is the show's producer. It isn't typical that one of the responsibilities of the producer is being an on-air personality like it is on the Catholic Guy show. You never hear from most of the channel's show producers (Robyn G. being an exception on TBHS).

Ryan has a whole host of responsibilities other than actually being on the show.

I like him and think he's doing a good job.
