I've had a very busy week. Most of what CGS I caught was recorded on my stilletto. I kept telling myself my reward would be taking off Friday afternoon, catching the show live, sip on a cold one and check out the chatroom. It was my dangling carrot. ( Double entendre intended). But now, NOOOOO, change of plans. Something at my business came up. I have to be traveling. I can listen in but no chatroom . I was so disappointed. But "I was going to man chat with some of my CG friends" just didn't cut it as an excuse.
But it did get me wondering what is with me and my want/need to keep up with and keep in touch with, again intended, all that surrounds the show. Am I too, obsessive? I always mocked and laughed at those Trekkie freaks. Am I any better? I justify it by saying I am learning about my faith. Yes, I am learning more about Catholicism. Lino is very good at educating while entertaining. But honestly, my core reasons for tuning in have have little to do with wanting to grow in my faith.
Some points I pondered as I questioned my CG-OCD
Why do I find it interesting that Lou is getting an apartment? Don't I have my own life, shouldn't I be more curious as to how the first week of school went for my kids?
I am definitely going to get the book "My Cousin the Saint". Of course, I need someone else to buy it first, so I can by it used on Amazon.com.
I was so thrilled to hear Tom Falcones voice on Thursday show! Why? I felt like a old friend had called me personally. I was genuinely interested in how his life is going. I have wondered what Maureen is up to. Father Dave mentioned that he saw her at Sirius and is working at the Martha Stewart channel. Again, why do I or should I care? I am a stranger to both these people. Or am I just strange?
Well, I better quit now. So hopefully I can make it back to catch the show at home, where I can have my own Friday night happy hour, again intended. Drinking a couple cold ones and man chatting with other Lino freaks. BTW I say man chat but several broads do check in.
Ok Lino, but if you buy it used, you have to buy two -- or three!
Justin ;)

I got an email from Maureen recently. She seems to be doing well working at Ma-Stew. She also let me know that she's still not married, and still not sending out prizes. :-)
Doug - it looks like your got busted by the author - neat thing is that he blamed Lino. After your done with the book can you borrow it to me ;-)
You know that this is the second time the author of a book has busted me with my smart ass commentary. John Zmirck, also, commented one time when I said I was going to buy his "Bad Catholics" books used. But hey, 5 kids, money must be spent wisely. Priorities need to be set and I refuse to buy used beer ;-)
As far as Maureen, man that Danny's got to, as they say, buy the cow. (Man, I hope Mo doesn't read this).
