First look at Jared Rizzi, newest member of the Catholic Guy Show

Here's the newest member of the Catholic Guy crew, Jared Rizzi. Jared debuted on the air during Monday's show replacing Ryan Stewart, who now works for the Fully Alive show on The Catholic Channel.

I told Jared that he had 24 hours to produce a photo of himself to post on this blog, or else I'd find the goofiest picture of him on his Facebook and publish it. The funny thing is that he does look like Jared from Subway in this photo.

Thanks for being a good sport and sending us a pic, Jared. And good luck with The Catholic Guy Show!

  1. wow. He really DOES look like the Subway guy.

Would love to find out if he eats at Subway, and if people look at him funny when he does.

Nice to have him on the show. I don't think Ryan was too into being an on-air personality and that's what Lino wants in a producer. I think Jared will do great.

    (but I still miss tom...)

  3. Was anyone else surprised there was no fanfare about Ryan's departure? There wasn't even a mention of it on Friday his last day. They barely mentioned him yesterday, probably an hour into the new director's tenure. However, I reallllly do like the new director. He seems to be a nice fit.

You know what would have been hilarious. We should have posted a Subway Jared photo. Man, what a riot. Just kiddin'. Have to agree with the Crew to cliche. But I have to admit after hearing the name Jared the subway guy did flash across my mind. That dude ruin the name Jared the way Newhart ruined Daryl for a whole generation. (Lino's age fans will get that reference). And don't get me started on the name Urcle.

    As far as Ryan leaving:
Perhaps Ryan didn't want it, the fanfare that is. He isn't leaving the channel just the show so they will be seeing him. I got to give this to Ryan, he brought alot of Catholicism to the show. He might not have been an on air personality but he did take the show in a good direction.

  5. I think if he left the channel, there would be more fanfare. But I agree with Doug in Kansas. If it wasn't for Ryan, we wouldn't have Priest Appreciation Day, and that has been my favorite segment in the last 2 months.

Ryan did add a segment to the Popcak's show called Taking it to the Street. Very well done by Mr. Stewart.

But let the past be the past...Subway guy, I mean, Jared rocks!

Now there's a photo that needs a caption!
