Since Dr. Pazzo, Lino Rulli's Catholic therapist, cancelled on him last Tuesday, Lino saw him today instead.
Lino mentioned that, this past weekend, a girl that Lino’s “kinda seeing” came out from Minnesota to spend time with him in New York. Even though Lino has been increasingly more interested in this girl (and even told her, “I love you, a lot”), Lino intentionally didn’t bring her up during today’s therapy just to aggravate Lou.
Besides Lino’s usual commitment phobia, one of the topics of today’s therapy session was Lino’s need to be a control freak. Dr. Pazzo brought up that Lino even tries to control the mood of his therapy sessions.
Dr. Pazzo implored Lino to begin accepting who he is. His therapist told Lino, “I think you need to radically accept who you are and accept the consequences that come with that.”
I’m glad that Lino’s therapist said this to him. Maybe Lino’s trying so hard to change himself instead of accepting the unique personality that God gave him.

I've had too much caffeine today, which may explain why Lino is driving me crazy. If this woman stays with him after him insisting they are not really (or "sort of") going out and that it will never work long distance and nothing can change that, it will certainly be real love on her part.
