Today marks the first day of The Catholic Channel on XM Radio. Subscribers with XM can now hear TCC on channel 117. Sirius listeners don't panic, you're still good with channel 159.
I'm very excited at all the new people Lino will reach and entertain. And how many more people will get some sleep thanks to being able to listen to Gus Lloyd in the morning (just kidding Gus :) )
EDIT: I signed up for the XM free trial, to hear TCC on XM. And just as you might have expected...it's the same content. Yes, Gus is Gus, but the same bumpers and commercials (promos for Lino, American Catholic with Dave Duran, etc.), with the exception of some XM bumpers (mostly advertising the new music channel lineups) and lack of top of the hour news.

I spent years calling and writing the then, brass at XM. I told them how they needed a Catholic Channel unlike any other.
I also spent that time contacting Lino, or like his police report states, stalking Lino.
I knew XM needed Lino as a flagship show. I wanted Lino in the Mornings but I have learned that afternoon drive is almost as good.
This is a great day for XM listners and a great chance for Catholics to reach another 10 million listeners.
Cathpackers need to tell their XM friends to listen.
It's still a little unreal seeing a Catholic channel on XM after all these years.
I'd had actually heard that a while back EWTN wanted to be aired on XM but XM wasn't interested in having a Catholic channel.. hehe... too bad now, huh? :-)
EWTN was aired a few times on there 'Live" channel or what Sirius calls speciality channel but they never kept it long term.
XM does have a Salem run Family Talk Channel.
Right on about Mother Angelica, Dan :)
Very early in the Catholic Guy show, the first time Lino read fan emails, he really liked mine when I told him he was ALMOST as funny as Mother Angelica. He considered that a compliment. My family and I have met Mother Angelica several times, and found her loving and welcoming.
New listener from XM here. I'm lovin' what I'm hearin'.
Thanks!
