Dog 'n Pony? No way...

While Lino's out...

Statement: Gus Lloyd's show is not a dog 'n pony show. It is a flea circus.

Points:

  • "Dog 'n pony" implies a single act or vanilla acts only having "dogs" or "ponies". A circus has variety.
  • Gus' show is all about variety. He does "Everyday Zero," he prays for people, he has guests, etc.
  • I'm not saying Gus' show is "funny." Not all circuses are funny. But he does have enough variety to be called a "circus."
  • Benefit: if Gus' show were a flea circus, perhaps we could have The Catholic Channel send Ron Astorino over there to be a guest performer. Ron can ride a flea, right?
Discuss...

dustin says, "The man has fleas. That's hardly a compliment." True. But that's funny. :)

  1. Excellent idea. Lino and his dad can provide music with the organ grinder get-up.
