Lino snubs the Popcaks!

On Fully Alive, Greg and Lisa Popcak put Lino in his place.

After hearing Lino put down James Taylor's "You've Got a Friend in Me" (a great song), Lisa decided to call the show and talk to Lino about why the song depressed him so much. Ryan put Lisa on hold, then came back and said that Lino was too busy to talk to her.

There were no guests scheduled, nothing set in stone, just talking about his mullett. He brushed aside another Catholic Channel host, claiming a busy schedule, for mullett talk.

Incredibly mean Lino. Poor Lisa just wanted to brighten your day, and you cast her aside like she is worth nothing.

Don't worry, Mrs. Popcak. We've got your back :)

  1. Hey Dustin -
Missed this part of the show (will listen to it tomorrow on my run) - couple of things:

    1 - I think you mean James Taylor's "You've got a friend" (not Randy newman's "Youv'e got a friend in me")

2 - Like I said, I didn't hear Lino's take on this but that song and James Taylor in general does sound like "music to commit suicide too." Not looking to disagree - but I can't stand James Taylor.

  2. Things just got crazy, I'm sure. I bet Lino will have her on soon during an I'm sorry bit.

I listen to the segment this morning and I think Lino had the whole song things planned out. James Taylor to Run DMC. Maybe he thought taking her phone call would break up the continuity of the bit.

  4. Nobody likes James Taylor...although he wasn't half-bad during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner during the Celtics whopping 10-point win over the Lakers last night :)
