Since I'll be moving out of state in a couple days to begin studying for the priesthood (and, I assume, will be a wee bit busy), I've shut down my LinoFans.com web hosting and have it set up for the site's visitors to be redirected here.
It shouldn't be too much of a change, since LinoFans.com and CatholicGuyShow.com have essentially been mirror sites of each other for the last few months (and an excuse for Lino to brag that he has not one but two fan club sites!).
For those of you who visited LinoFans.com to listen to the Mock n' Roll Friday song parodies, those are now available on a YouTube channel called "LinoRocks" and are linked here on The Catholic Guy Show Blog.
A few months ago when I decided that I was going to be leaving to study for the priesthood in Texas, I was hoping I'd be able to find someone to take over the Lino Rulli Fan Club. Not only did God provide a great guy like Dustin, but Dustin was humble enough to solicit help from other Lino fans (something my ego wouldn't let me do).
It's been great having four guys with different perspectives contributing to this site for the last few months. Whenever one or two of us get busy (or lazy), the other guys usually pick up the slack, which was always pretty cool.
I still plan to contribute to this site after I'm settled into the religious order, but I'm not sure how much time I'll have to devote to it. (I'll probably always be playing catch-up with the show on my Stiletto so don't be surprised if I comment about something that happened on the show a week earlier.)
Please keep us CatholicGuyShow.com writers happy by continuing to read this site and leaving comments!

Dan, what you are doing is eternal. Remember, with your Linofans you gave us the confidence to do this blog. I remember you and your vocation daily. I am proud to know you. I will do my best to uphold the integrity of this site and linofans.......okay, okay..... I snickered too. GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER!!!!!
Dan,
Thank you for all that you have done to enhance the experience that is the Catholic Guy Show. Best of luck with your new and most important venture (I'll keep you and your vocation in my prayers--- even though it is such an anti-Lino thing to say). Thanks again,
Peace,
Mark in Pittsburgh
Yo Dan!
So you're getting ready for Boot camp! ha ha ha...
I'm sure these days, while exciting, also have a bit of anxiety to them. Just take it a step at a time. God isn't asking for perfection from us or that you have to lay prostrate on the floor for ordination tomorrow... He's asking you to focus on His call in your life - and you're going to seminary to figure out if it's there.
You remain in my prayers and I'm a phone call away if you need help figuring out how that whole "Liturgy of the Hours" books work (its confusing at the beginning - well, actually it still is)
God Bless,
Fr Jim
Thanks for the comments and encouragement, guys! And, yes, those "Hours" books are pretty confusing... When I visited the priests last April, I always had someone next to me so they could whisper, "Page 48..."
Lino had me kicked out of the old fanclub on myspace. Can he also get me kicked out of this one?
Hi Dan,
I'm so happy for you (and more than a little jealous!). It's funny, I really feel like I know you and I can say I know someone entering the priesthood. I've been praying for you and will continue to do so. This is going to be such an exciting time for you!
As for the Liturgy of the Hours -- I have totally given up on trying to figure it out. I've bought two copies of it and can't make heads or tails of it. Lino even read a question on the air that I sent him about it and I couldn't even understand his answer. I've almost completed my masters, but the LOTH is too much for me!
I hope you can continue to listen to the show and post to the blog. Your posts are always great. Thanks for everything you have done with the fan sites, too -- you really have been the heart of this little group we have going here!
Study hard, and enjoy!
Kate
Dan,
I remember asking you if I could help run Linofans.com. I had no idea what I was getting into.
And I had no idea what kind of friend I'd make out of it. You are truly a blessing to everyone whose lives you touch.
//insert sex joke here.
Stay sane. Hope to hear from you soon!
Brother Dan,
I will be praying for god to direct you in what god sees for you. Till next time, then I will be able to call you fr. Dan. Btw: In boot camp they brake you and then rebuild you ... I think in catholic boot camp he has already built so no braking is needed all you have to do is continue following.
God Bless,
Alex Vargas
Dan,
I'll pray for you, of course. Trying to think of something negative to say about Lino in keeping with his show today, but nothing's coming to me right now!
dan,
congrats! and congratulations to the Body of Christ!
