Like any good Catholic Guy show fan, I try to see between the lines on Lino's three hours of Catholic pleasure. I don't just listen to what Lino has to say, I soak it in, I commit it to memory, and immerse myself in his words.
For months now, Lino has gone to visit a therapist called Dr. Pazzo. This therapist is anonymous, and Lino pays him under the table. Fifty bucks is the quoted price. But lately, a small idea in the back of my mind has made its way to the forefront in my brain. Call it a conspiracy theory, but I have an idea on who Dr. Pazzo is.
Dr. Greg Popcak, who along with his wife, hosts Fully Alive on Sirius.
Why do I think that Lino visits Dr. Popcak and calls him Dr. Pazzo? Well, Lino has had Dr. Popcak on the show before, so we know that they at least get along. Dr. Popcak has also given Lino advice on the air before, so we know Lino is open to taking advice from the man.
Lino's main point in describing Dr. Pazzo is that he is unlicensed. Why would he go to see an unlicensed shrink? Simple. Dr. Popcak is licensed in Ohio, but not New York.
Lino pays Dr. Pazzo $50 a week. Maybe the fee is low because the therapy is done via phone or webcam. Lino also claims that Dr. Pazzo only has a sign on his door, which could be a metaphor for Caller ID, or simple codespeak for the fact that, since it is done over the phone, Pazzo/Popcak does not have an office. The sign in this case would actually symbolize a webcam, as Lino can now actually "see" where Dr. Pazzo/Popcak is at (in this case, in front a computer).
Lino also claims he is late to see his therapist. It's no big deal to him because its only a phone call or webchat session. Actually being somewhere on time would be something you'd take a little more seriously: being 7-12 minutes late to call someone wouldn't be that big of a deal, which explains the consistency of Lino's lateness.
At worst, this is a conspiracy theory. At best, we might have just the Dr. Pazzo that Lino drives even more Pazzo.

If Lino has webcam sessions with some dude in Ohio once a week, then he's got more problems that I thought! :-)
Just because of the name similarity, I've thought it was Dr. Popcak. But you've got details figured out too!
You know, I've always had this sneaking suspicion that this mystery girl from Minn. is Maureen. M for M. That there is too much distance between them is another medaphore for their differing personalities. I still haven't figured out the time thing. How does the number of dates per year correspond to the time Lino and Maureen have know each other ?
NOT!!!!!
Lino, would never do a therapy session with someone he knows. And what about the malfunctioning space heater story?
dustin, my theory on you is that you never won to many games of Clue as a child ;-)
The space heater story can be explained in that it broke on Dr. Popcak/Pazzo's end, and Dr. Pazzo/Popcak's discomfort affected the therapy session so much that Lino was affected as well.
Either that, or Lino's cell phone was running out of power, hence the reference to a space heater.
Lino and MAUREEN!?!?! I just can't see that.
I think that would be the biggest revelation ever. Remember how Lino and crew would always talk about "Danny" not proposing? Because Danny is afraid of commitment. Guess who else is afraid of commitment? Danny is also a good cover name: it's very far from Lino.
As far as the Danny that came into studio on Maureen's last day, maybe that was Adam "The Hammer" Hamway. The man is a vocal genius, so it wouldn've been so hard for him to change his voice up a little.
Uncovering that secret would be really good radio. But I still can't see it.
