LOCO moments

One more indication that I am LOCO (Lino Obsessive COmpulsive). I need a new cell phone. Have for awhile. It took me three trips to the phone store to finally chose one. What main criteria do I look for in the phone? How can it best serve me to blog for Lino. I am not much of a texter but sought a phone with a QWERTY pad so that I can hopefully type up a blog in my spare moments, email it to my account then copy and paste it to this blog when I get home to my computer. I love the my theory I just hope it works. And yes, I know that I can access the Internet with a phone and could type it directly to the blog that way. But that costs extra on the bill and there is only so much a woman married to a CGS blogger will let slide. (It is humbling at times to realize your spouse it the rational one).

I worry about posting to this site often. Sadly, since the new year I have caught very little of the show. Or a way below average for me atleast. Work, cold and snow have kept me very busy. I listen to alot of the show recorded from my stilleto in the evening. But I have been so exhausted that........I have dozed off while listening. Yes, I do go to bed with Lino Rulli most nights. But is the magic gone, is the honeymoon over, that I fall asleep. I know in my heart it's not Lino it me.

The ironic thing is the one day I could have listened to the whole 3 hour show was the Monday Lino called in sick. Get out the heresy horn here, but in some sick twisted way the thought crossed my mind that I hexed Lino by figuring out a way to listen to a whole 3 hour broadcast. As if Lino had to suffer for my selfish desires.

Another view into a LOCO mind. It does bother me that I have missed huge segments of the show. I have this nagging feeling that I am missing out on something. Like down the road a reference will be made to the show and I won't have a clue what it means. I will be left out of the loop. Realistically there is no way I will ever catch up. It is a part of my life I will never get back. As if I were in a sirius coma. Get it sirius ;-)

  1. Will I for one hope the "suits" at The Catholic Channel have not caused an irreconcilable rift between them and Lino.

I paid for a lifetime of Lino and I want my moneys worth! How they cannot get the method to Lino's madness when it comes to teaching the Faith is beyond me. I do have to admit that I had to explain what Lino was doing to my priest brother but people who are running the place should know what good programming is and what isn't. Heck they keep EWTN broadcasting regardless of who and what they put on!

As for me I wouldn't give the programmers at EWTN the time of day after they ripped me for not knowing my Latin.

I will continue to subscribe to Sirius as long as Lino is on. If he isn't well I will consider ending my subscription even though I have paid for a lifetime subscription shortly after Lino started his show.

I will be keeping Lino and all the hosts of the Catholic Channel in my prayers and hope all the listeners do as well.

  2. I was thinking the same thing. Why shoot themselves in the foot? Lino serves a vast audience unserved in Catholic radio.

  3. do you need extra contributors to TCGS blog?

    let me know.

  4. Is it just me, or is this situation reminiscent of Chappelle's Show? The show was a phenomenal success, just like Lino's show. But due to pressure of network executives regarding the show's content, Dave Chappelle left.

And now we have the mustaches telling Lino that he needs to "rethink" radio. Very similar. And very scary.

Hey if any corporate executives are reading this, stop trying to screw up a good thing! If you screw up Lino's show, or any of the shows on TCC, you WILL lose subscribers.

  5. Kate says:

OK, I missed something here -- what happened? Who's giving Lino a hard time?

  6. corbin says:

dustin do you know something we don't . he only mentioned it briefly last week on the show and then left us hanging like he always does.i wish someone could tell us more.

  7. All I know is that on Friday's show, Lino kept mentioning three separate meetings with people telling him he needed to "rethink" radio. That, to me, just sounded like the people who tried to have some sort of say-so with Chappelle's Show.
